Engineering Analysis for Maintenance Requirements

LES understands that the safe operation of technical equipment is fundamental to the generation of Australian Defence Force (ADF) capability and without adequate maintenance, these systems and equipment will eventually fail to function in a safe and reliable manner, with the potential loss of capability or human life. That is why, at LES, we have become experts in this area of logistics engineering, as it is imperative that the ADF can function at optimum capability without fear of equipment failure due to poor or inadequate maintenance processes.

LES provides cost effective engineering and maintenance solutions to our clients for new and existing fleet equipment including:

  • Life Cycle Cost Analysis;
  • Maintenance Engineering Analysis (MEA) / Maintenance Requirements Determination (MRD) for new and existing capital equipment;
  • Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA);
  • Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA);
  • Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM); and
  • Investigation and validation of Engineering Change Proposals (ECP)

Our extensive experience and knowledge of undertaking engineering analysis has enabled us to develop our own software program (eMRD) to facilitate our activities and realise efficiencies. Our experienced staff have supported a number of key defence projects and prime Contractors to Defence in the conduct of the MRD process using eMRD and other internally developed software programs. This has provided greater efficiencies, reduced costs, and supported and enable better decision making by our clients.
