AIR7000 Ph2B P-8A Logistic Support Analysis Record and Authorised Maintenenance Data

LES has been awarded a significant contract by the Air 7000 Ph2B Project Office to deliver the new Maritime Patrol and Response Aircraft capability Logistics Support Analysis Records (LSAR) that complies with DEF (AUST) 5692, population of the Authority to Fit (ATF) system (ADAASS) and seeding of Computer Aided Maintenance Management (CAMM2) (LSAR and Asset Data). The WSDBs will also be used to produce Authorised Maintenance Data (AMD), including Technical Maintenance Plans (TMPs) and Planned Servicing Schedules (PSS).

DMS Maritime Armidale Class Patrol Boat Certified Item Standard Activity Remediation

LES has been awarded an initial contract with DMS Maritime to review and update a number of Standard Activities related to the support of the Armidale Class Patrol Boat. This initial task had a demanding schedule to allow support for other project activities. LES was able to allocate significant resources to complete the task ahead of schedule and we now look forward to further supporting DMS in the review and update of other technical documentation.

G H Varley Land 121 Ph3 Ambulance Module

LES has won another contract with G H Varley; this time to provide ILS support for the new Ambulance Module to be fitted to the back of the Project Overlander Mercedes Benz G Wagon 6x6. LES are contracted to produce the LORA as well as a suite of EMEIs, a User Handbook, a CES and an RPIL.

Airbus Group Australia Pacific (AGAP) Roll Out eMRD and eLSA

AGAP has expanded its use of eMRD and become the first customer of the eLSA application. This combined package of software allows AGAP to apply all of the functionality required by DEF(AUST)5692 to fulfil their contractual obligations. Airbus Group Australia Pacific C130J PSSR

Since September 2011 LES has been providing support to the Airbus Group Australia Pacific (AGAP) C130J Planned Servicing Improvement Project (PSSR). The project successes have been widely reported in the media and AGAP continue to make improvements that are designed to improve availability and maintainability of the aircraft. LES support to AGAP has again been extended till June 2015 and recognises the effort and excellent working relationship between the two companies.

Holmwood Highgate Land 121 Ph3B Fuel and Water Modules

LES has been contract by the Holmwood Highgate Group to develop ILS deliverables for the bulk fuel and water modules being procured under the Land 121 Phase 3B project. Deliverables include, Integrated Support Plan, Logistic Support Analysis Plan, LORA, technical documentation, sparing and provisioning lists.

G H Varley Land 121 Ph3B Stores and Maintenance Modules

LES continue their strong relationship with G H Varley to develop ILS deliverables for the medium and heavy stores and maintenance modules being procured under the Land 121 Phase 3B project. Deliverables include, Integrated Support Plan, Logistic Support Analysis Plan, LORA, technical documentation, sparing and provisioning lists.

BAE Logistic Analysts

LES have been contracted to BAE Systems to provide 2 Logistic Analysts to identify maintenance requirements of the LHD deck equipment such as tow motors, cranes and deck sweepers. This task was completed ahead of schedule which enabled the analysts to complete additional analysis on medical equipment.

AGAP ARH WSDB Routine Servicing Amalgamation

Airbus Helicopters (previously, Australian Aerospace) contracted LES in mid 2014 to review the routine servicing for the ARH helicopters. LES was tasked to determine how the routine servicing schedules may be restructured to reduce the overall routine servicing, Time to Make Serviceable (TMS) and reduce the associated maintenance manhours. LES utilised its eMRD software to repackage the routine servicing and their associated tasks while recording the changes within the ARH Weapons System Data Base (WSDB).

AGAP ARH WSDB Restructure

Australian Aerospace (now Airbus Helicopters) identified excessive CAMM2 transactions during removal and installation of Main and Tail Rotor components. Australian Aerospace contracted LES to restructure the Main and Tail Rotor PLCN’s to represent a CAMM2 friendly structure that significantly reduced the number of CAMM2 transactions. The task commenced in late 2014 and was completed in January 2015 where LES completed the PLCN restructure utilising its proprietary eMRD software to effect, record and track changes to the PLCN structure. The supporting eMRD Companion software was also used to validate the changes to the WSDB by providing ‘Before’ and ‘After’ views of the ARH WSDB.

NIOA Land 40-2 Tender Support

With the re-release of the RFT for the Lightweight Automatic Grenade Launcher under LAND 40-2, NIOA Defence has again called on the services of LES for tender support. This time LES provided the Bid Manager responsible for the management and submission of the tender response. A very robust Tender was submitted and Nioa and LES are confident of the result as we wait for the evaluation and subsequent announcement to be made.

CMT-L Support

The LES contract with ATOS Australia has been extended for a third time until Jun 2015. LES has been supporting the ATOS contract with the Commonwealth for the CMT-L release 4 rollout which has now transitioned to the support contract.

Technical Documentation Support To CSVSPO and MCSPO - Update

The combined resources, knowledge and experience of LES and LSA were required to undertake significant technical documentation work for Combat Support Vehicles System Program Office (CSVSPO) and Mounted Combat System Program Office (MCSPO). The work consists of EMEI, RPIL, UHB and CES reviews, updates and amendments to a vast array of equipment. The efforts of LSA and LES have been rewarded with CCP action to include additional documentation.

RAMSPO and GTESPO Deploy eMRD in Support of MRD Capability

RAMSPO and GTESPO have joined the growing number of System Program Offices to employ the LES eMRD software application. eMRD has been chosen to increase productivity, reduce learning time and operator induced errors.

LSA Training for LSD

LES have successfully tendered for a DMOSS task to provide Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) training. The primary aim of this training is to provide an underpinning knowledge of the management planning and estimation of the LSA activities for the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Manager and other personnel within LSD. A secondary aim is to promote best practice in the application of LSA principles within the ILS domain to ensure the delivery of capability and cost optimised Materiel Systems for Land Capabilities.

Australian Aerospace C130J PSSR

Since September 2011 LES has been providing support to the Australian Aerospace (AA) C130J Planned Servicing Improvement Project (PSSR). The project successes have been widely reported in the media and on Defence communications siting an 8% increase in availability of the fleet and significant savings to the Commonwealth. AA has rewarded the performance of LES personnel with subsequent extensions till the end of 2014. AA and LES have established an excellent working relationship and hope to continue supporting AA into the future.

LES Specialist Software

The LES developed specialist software eMRD has a number of new customers including RAMSPO and GTESPO with two other potential users expected by the end of June 14. The eMRD application continues to receive positive feedback as to the cost savings it provides and the clarity and accuracy of the data. eMRD is soon to be joined by a new sister application eLSA which will fill in the gaps between eMRD and DEF(AUST)5692. AMPRT WSDB Verification and Validation Tool

LES have been successful in tendering for the delivery of a Weapon System Database (WSDB) Verification and Validation (V&V) Tool for the Aircraft Maintenance Policy Review Team (AMPRT). The tool is to enable the comparison of Maintenance Policy related data manually maintained on worksheets to related data contained in the final WSDB produced during the conduct of an Aerospace Maintenance Policy Review Project. This will allow the generation of discrepancy reports that verify that all Planned Servicing Schedule (PSS) tasks, Maintenance Managed Item (MMI) tasks, and Technical Information (TI) changes actioned during an AMPRT review are accurately reflected in the final WSDB.

CMT-L Support

In January 2013 LES won a contract with ATOS Australia to support the roll out of CMT-L release R4. Since then we have been given two extensions and an additional person to provide configuration trees and at-elbow support to SPO personnel.

Seabox International Land 121 Ph3B ILS

After a long period of time Seabox International have been successful in tendering to Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles Australia (RMMVA) for the Flatrack module as part of their Land 121 Ph3B project. LES provided support to Seabox during the tendering process and have subsequently been awarded a contract to provide ILS support and products for the Flatrack. Work includes ILS plans, FMECA, LORA, technical documentation and spares analysis.

AMSPO MRD Support

LES has successfully tendered to create/update tailored Maintenance Requirement Determination (MRD) procedures for Aircraft Maintenance Systems Program Office (AMSPO) product based on Defence MRD policy. The task includes the review of extant policy, targeted MRD activities on selected equipment and the training/knowledge transfer of AMSPO personnel.
